Russell Crowe’s directorial debut in 'The Water Diviner' is a pleasing mixture of war story, action film and vivid human drama, that appeals across many demographics - and a hit at the mainstream cinema. It's good, but flawed by a rather whimsical plot. I guess the viewing public are also won over by Crowe's charisma and his enthusiasm for this project.
